Martyn from the Butcher's Arms in Herne organised a brewery tour for 50 of his regulars - which was jolly good of him! So we spent a fantastic day out, all dressed in red, with the Dark Star brewery as the first stop. The brewery laid on somewhere between 9 and 18 gallons of Hophead which was polished off within about 20 minutes. After that the staff valiantly dashed back and forth to the cool room ferrying over 8 pints jugs of whatever they had available in an attempt to stop the red locusts heading for a conditioning tank. Excellent fun.

Dark Star - Hylder Blonde4.20GoodSmelt of Ribena to me although everyone else I talked to said it smelt of elder flower. Anyway, very aromatic.
