Unusually quiet, we were made very welcome by the landlord.

Comfortable open plan pub in Armoury Way, formerly called The Crane then The Armoury then reverted back to The Crane in 2016. Had previously suffered total internal destruction by flooding on 20 July 2007 after which it was fully re-fitted with new floors, panelling, furniture and equipment. Sold by Young's to Punch Taverns and sold on to VSP88 with its future remaining uncertain.
