So in we went. Quite busy with people meeting people. We sat on a table that was booked but unused. The outside seating area looked busy. Perfectly pleasant but not really very publike

The objective of my weekend in Gloucestershire – an FA Cup match – has just been postponed due to the ongoing wet weather, leaving me with a long day in Cheltenham before my pre-booked late train back to London. I meet up with five friends here who are in a similar predicament. We decide to spend our match ticket money instead on a slap up roast lunch and a few pints. Not a hard choice to make.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsbury - Kennet Valley4.10GoodA decent, sparkling bitter.
Wickwar - Autumn Ale4.60AcceptableAnother beer that is let down here by flat condition. Seems to be a fruity, regular bitter.
Stroud - Jack O'Lantern4.20AcceptableA brown and fruity bitter, served here in very flat condition which does not show it in its best light.
Hanlons (formerly O'Hanlon's) - Original Port Stout4.80Not Tried
