Early afternoon just a few others in this classic Mancunian beer house with lots of banter from the jovial barmaid..

I Saw ChrisE's review saying this was one of his favorite pubs in Manchester so I gave it a go. I really liked it. Pints were £2.20 too!

I was looking forward to coming here as it was one of my favourite pubs in Manchester but this afternoon I was put off by somebody playing a keyboard and attempting to sing in the rear bar, it was so loud that you could here it in every bar and outside the pub. I walked in the front door and exited from the rear door without stopping for a drink.

Divided into a number of drinking areas this pub has 3 handpumps and has, for a long time now, sold Holt's Bitter obtained through the free trade hence the cheap price that applies. In an area increasingly becoming a drinking circuit for the young this pub retains its traditional boozer feel and clientele.
