A late morning pint whilst waiting for the One Green Bottle to open. My first visit here, a nice pub and doing a good trade this morning. Most of the customers were sitting outside enjoying the nice weather.

Very busy, with every table taken with Sunday lunchtime diners and plenty more people hovering, waiting for their chance. A smaller number, like myself, just in for a pint. I felt fortunate to be let in at all, given that I had managed to get mud up to my knees, traversing the Brandy Hole to get here on foot from Hockley.

An attractive, old, weather-boarded, pub on the quayside in Hawk Hill. Surrounded by antique shops. There are several rooms inside, including a tastefully constructed extension. Low ceilings and beams. A few benches and tables at the front. Part of a small, independent chain of local, food-oriented pubs.
