The pub is found in Chelsea, Greater London, SW3 4PL.
This pub is located at the heart of the Kings Road shopping area, having been established here as a beerhouse by 1842. For two-thirds of its history it traded as the Commercial Tavern, but was renamed in 1956 to bring in a more-obviously local connection. The pub became well-known at the height of 1960s ‘Swinging London’, when it was frequented by the likes of Michael Caine and Terence Stamp and many of the fashionable types that once made the Kings Road famous. For a while branded as a ‘Taylor Walker’ pub, it is these days more of a shoppers' than a stoners' hangout.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 9 different beers and tried 4 of them.
