Not a sniff of anything brewed on the premises unfortunately.

Afternoon visit, my first visit here and it was a good experience. I had a steak baguette with my beers which I thought was a bit pricey but was extremely good. The weather outside was absolutely awful but it did not deter the smokers from using the garden area.
BeerABVScoreNotes
XT Brewing - Palomino4.10ExcellentCollaboration brew between XT and Barnet Brewery. The XT web site shows it as 4% but the handwritten pump clip in the pub said 4.1% it also had the spelling Palomeno. A good tasty traditional bitter ale.

Quite busy in the early evening, many of the customers here to eat rather than drink. I was offered a view of the small brewery, which is very much in its early days at present.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Barnet - Palomino4.00GoodThe main product and, in order to keep up with demand, this beer is not actually brewed in Barnet, but by sister brewery the Thame Brewery. Amber-coloured. A fruity, malty, pale ale.
XT Brewing - XPA5.90GoodGolden, crisp, fruity hop tastes. Strong and a little sweet.
Barnet - Summer Breeze4.20AcceptableBrewed on the small plant at the Black Horse, Barnet. A reddish amber colour. Thin tasting, fruity and sweet, but somehow also dry. Needs more work I think and I almost gave two stars.

A large pub at a prominent road junction on the west side of Barnet. Formerly owned by Allied Breweries, the pub has been opened out into one large space, with a garden to the side and a courtyard area to the rear.
