A nice old pub with a riverside terrace and cricket on the TV. £3 a pint was a pleasant surprise - it may have been some kind of happy hour.

16:00 visit. Having been to an event at the nearby Friars, this was a nice little stop-off before the next bus home. The small patio garden was popular with it's tranquil view of the Medway and the medieval bridge.

The pub is found in Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7AY.
In the High Street. Bought from Ei Group in autumn 2018. 3 handpumps. Healthy CAMRA discount given for card carrying members. Serious fire Sunday 22nd May 2022. Closed for a while and re-opened in early February 2023. Closed spring 2024 after death of licensee.
