It is a cold and blustery day in Helsinki and all the customers are crammed into the main bar area at lunchtime. Three home-brewed beers and a couple of guests were available on keg dispense.

A brew-pub situated in mid-nineteenth century buildings on the castle island of Suomenlinna, a short ferry hop from central Helsinki. There is an attractive outdoor terrace for warmer days and a cosy bar and restaurant area within. The pub stands immediately in front of the ferry pontoon and next door to the island’s tourist office.
