Pre-noon visit. Very busy and a couple of groups have somehow already found the time to get beyond sobriety.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Saffron - Saint Clement's5.90GoodA strong beer with sharp citrus flavours from added lemon and orange zest.
Grafton - Blondie4.80AcceptableGolden in colour and tastes more like a strong Bitter than a Blonde. Balance is on the side of maltiness with little hop character.

I came in here by chance before noon when I was spotted by a friend who was standing in the doorway having a smoke, part of a group having a late breakfast within.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wadworth - Sunset Red5.00PoorBrewed in collaboration with Chelsea Brewing of New York. Rather unpleasant I’m afraid and I was glad it was just a half. Rather like a glass of flat cranberry juice that had been languishing in the fridge for too long. No obvious alcohol content.

The pub is found in Colchester, Essex, CO2 7AA.

A large, town centre JD Wetherspoon pub in a building that has been a theatre, a cinema and a bingo hall in succession before conversion to pub use in 1994. There is a variety of seating areas on the ground floor and the former stage area, with many props and pieces of scenery, plus a load of stage dummies looking down from the circle seats.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 20 different beers and tried 3 of them.
