I was pleasantly surprised with this pub, I had a good chat with the landlord (who I later found out from another web site used to play football for Chelsea), it is a good, busy and welcoming pub.

11:30 Half a dozen drinkers. We had the Dugout to ourselves. Very welcoming pub.

Everards (see entries against Joule's & Robinsons whilst its new brewery was being built) - Original5.20ExcellentI assume this is Old Original with a slightly different name. If so a lot less malty than it used to be.

The pub is found in Market Deeping, Lincolnshire, PE6 8EA.

Interesting pub with three distinct areas on three levels. On entering a few steps lead up to a dining area, turning right leads to the bar and at the left hand end of the bar a small doorway and a flight of steps lead down into the Dugout. The former cellar was converted in the 1930s to another bar. Built in seating. The original stillage is behind the bar counter and contains dummy barrels and a ratchet that was formerly used to tip casks as they emptied.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
