I haven't been here for a couple of years and it has been refurbished in that time. It's lost a little of its charm, but the toilets are nice. Late lunchtime and the suits were back at work.

The pub is found in Liverpool, Merseyside, L2 8UA.
In the still busy commercial, business area of the city down towards the river and off Dale Street in Covent Garden. Four handpumps. Stripped wood floor and fake fire in main bar. L-shaped bar with raised lounge and another bar upstairs. Latterly by 2023 no real ale sold here.
We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
