Visits Details

26 Apr 2014 (HSB)
16:45 Packed in all rooms. Managed to squeeze in at the back of the right hand rear room. My comments about the pub drew us into conversation with a mother and daughter sitting next to us. Turned out that the older of the two had first started drinking at this pub in 1958 and her daughter used to work at the Scotch Piper, a heritage pub I have yet to visit. She showed me the CAMRA Heritage website page for the Piper and was surprised to learn that I am the person responsible for putting photographs on the site. Oddly the beer was £3.03 a pint.
