11:00 Still keeps traditional opening time so I made this the first stop on our monthly Splinter Group crawl. Some years since I had been here and I could hardly recognise the place. Another pub interior sacrificed on the altar of trendiness.

Evening. Grim unimaginatively furnished spartan house with obvious emphasis on food. An appalling short measure offered to me set the scene although I predicted it having seen the previous customer douched on his lagers.

The pub is found in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB1 2DW.

Large street corner Victorian house in Tenison Road. In the late 1970s was part of a CAMRA owned chain of pubs. Interior was modernised in 2015. The theme is industrial chic with portions of plaster removed to reveal the brickwork beneath. The original footprint of three distinct areas remains with snug to the front, middle bar area, and double height room at the rear. The bar has been moved from the rear to the middle area and the number of beers has been reduced.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 11 different beers and tried 2 of them.
