Mid Saturday afternoon - not busy - swift visit en route to the Hammerton Brewery just round the corner. I will be back just to consider the eclectic collection of ceiling mounted artefacts in more detail.
5th beer called Hemingford Gunner at 3.9% - presumably a re-badge of something to appeal to the local Arsenal fans.

There is a proper, old-fashioned, early Friday evening crush here when I visit. Clearly a popular pub. Greene King house beer also sold, although the pub hides its GK association quite well.

The pub is found in Barnsbury, Central London, N1 1DF.
Corner pub in Hemingford Road, covered in ivy. Formerly four separate rooms now knocked into one, although all four old entrance doors are still intact. The island bar has a superb central bar back which still has an old cash office within it. Behind this is a superb carved further bar back which houses the exit from the bar. The bar is decorated with curios and advertising artefacts. Metropolitan Pub Co. is a Greene King pub brand.
