unspoilt potentially excellent pub but unfortunately not very well run, no service at front bar, back bar was being occupied by “mates” of the disinterested bar staff, not welcoming, not clean and poor ale selection.

16:40 Another pub I have walked by many times but have never been in. Bit of a shambles for beer. The barmaid did her best but the Pippin and the Bitter would not pull through all she could get was pints of froth. I settles for the Old Peculier. First time for many years. Sweet and sickly couldn't drink it.
