The pub is found in Waltham St Lawrence, Berkshire, RG10 0JJ.

Very interesting pub in The Street which is on CAMRA's Heritage list as being of Regional Importance. Dating back to the 14th century and heavily beamed throughout the pub has four rooms. The main bar is to the left of the entrance door, to the right is a small snug containing one large table, and the lounge is accessed through a hole cut through the bar wall. There is a dining room to the rear of the pub which was formerly domestic quarters. This room contains a capped well. The lounge is the best room with original Jacobean panelling. Unusually the built in benches in this room retain their arm rests but the actual seating has been removed. A potential trap for the unwary on a dull day. One bench has been used for a shelf behind the bar in this room. There is one regular beer and three guests. The sales of the regular justify it being supplied in kilderkins. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2022.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 7 different beers and tried 2 of them.
