A brief visit in the early afternoon. Ground floor bar busy with people taking a break from their shopping. This pub is now the brewery tap for Austendyke Ales.
BeerABVScoreNotes

Austendyke Ales - Barbeque '674.50AcceptableHad a little bit more life than the previous beer, but not much. Amber-coloured and seemingly a mostly malt taste.

I arrived at opening time and was the only customer for the duration of my pint. There was a flat screen television on the wall but I was assured that this was only there for the duration of the World Cup football matches, and that its appearance on the wall had caused a very mixed reception amongst the regular customers.

The pub is found in Spalding, Lincolnshire, PE11 1BH.

A very old building in the town centre which is believed to have been a former prison, and in later years a bakery, it is now a Micropub with an octagonal island bar. A winding staircase leads up to the toilets and a comfortable seating area.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 10 different beers and tried 3 of them.
