Pub number three on a tour of Carshalton, and my first visit to this pub/hotel. The Swan bar was closed for refurbishment although the sign on the door said closed for private function. We sat in the main bar trying to get as far away as possible from the large television screens that seemed to be everywhere. Friendly and attentive bar staff made us very welcome.

Evening. Visit soured by unprofessionalism of displaying Hummingbird for sale yet when I ordered was told it was off. Asked why clip not turned round to which the barman replied that it was not allowed, company policy. I asked him why, then, were 2 of the 3 clips in the Swan Bar turned round!
