Morning visit soon after 10:00, I had not been here before and just wanted to shelter from the pouring rain outside. I had not had a breakfast so settled for a pair of Staffordshire Oatcakes with bacon, sausage and cheese for a bargain £3.40. I was pleasantly surprised with the internal decor as I did not think the place looked very inviting from the outside. I later found that this pub has won Potteries Pub of the Year in the past.
