Grand opulent building worthy of its NI acclaim, we tried both unconnected bars without having to go out and back in again courtesy of the friendly staff. The Thai food offer looked tempting alas only time to try the spring rolls off the bar snack menu.

Afternoon visit, I would have liked to stay longer but my friends were in a hurry to fit in another pub before the Owl and Pussycat opened at 4pm. Camra discount given here.

My first visit here, I was amazed at the size of the place and the fact that it has remained largely intact. I sat in the public bar on the East side of the building and listened to the other two customers discussing Hovis bread.
