Black Bear (formerly East Stratton) - Pheasant | 3.80 | This was not quite ready but following our conversation the brewer wanted us to sample his beer. Normally conditioned for three weeks this was young but had a great depth of flavour. | |

The pub is found in East Stratton, Hampshire, SO21 3DU.
An estate pub owned by Lord Northbrook, situated at the end of a row of identical thatched cottages also owned by the estate. Two rooms and a dining room. The bar is a good basic drinking room. The bar back appears to be Victorian and has come from a another pub. The pub outbuildings contain the village shop, a skittle alley, and as at December 2014 a micro-brewery.
We have visited this pub once, seen 4 different beers and tried 2 of them.
