The pub is found in Tottenham, Greater London, N17 9NG.

This pub was originally established in 1630 as the ferry house (it may not have functioned as a pub in its earliest years) and for many years was called Green’s Ferry, after the family that owned it. It was certainly licensed by 1796 and trading as the Ferry Boat Inn, although by this time a toll bridge had been built nearby, replacing the old ferry service across the River Lea. In the 1840s the pub was famous for its pleasure gardens and fishery and was a popular Bank Holiday destination. Much of this was lost to the construction of Walthamstow Reservoirs, although the pub still has an extensive rear garden. Long a bastion of Walthamstow life, modern administrative boundary changes now place the pub in Tottenham. The pub retains the appearance of antiquity, although the three rooms are much modernised within.

We have visited this pub 7 times, seen 11 different beers and tried 6 of them.
