13:00 Very busy, mainly diners. We sat out on the decking. Table next to us had "high tea" for their lunch. A three tier stand with sandwiches, cakes and pastries. Something I haven't seen for years.

The pub is found in Gorleston-on-Sea, Norfolk, NR31 6DH.

Upmarket hotel on the cliff opposite the harbour mouth. First built in 1898, that building was destroyed by fire in 1915, rebuilt and re-opened in 1916. A framed cut glass mirror, presumably from that time, advertising the Cliff Bar is on display. The main bar has recently been modernised and is very smart. The most interesting feature is a newly opened deck on the cliff face overlooking the beach and harbour. This has a retractable roof and glass walls to keep the wind at bay.

We have visited this pub once, seen 3 different beers and tried 1 of them.
