I manage to miss my London train by seconds because first I can’t find the out-of-hours entrance to the station and then my train is at the far end of the platform. Time for a quick pint in here before the next one.

Weymouth is packed out with day-trippers today but it is quiet in here in the mid-afternoon. Nice place.

A small bar and restaurant on the square immediately outside Weymouth railway station at the rear of the Somerset Hotel. Specialises in homemade pies, but is also welcoming to drinkers and serves a selection of handpumped real ales.
