Formerly the Crispin and then the Wheatsheaf, an attractively fronted building in Slaughter House Lane which most recently re-opened in January 2015 after a refurbishment and re-naming. Hercules Clay was a mayor of Newark during the Civil War and particularly during the town's siege by the Parliamentarian army. 4 handpumps.
