15:50 My route from the station to my hotel took me by here and having read the description in the current GBG I thought I would pop in now. Only one other customer who during our conversation extolled the merits of Monty's beers from Montgomery. Sadly not a beer I have come across. The young barman was clued up about beer and showed me the range of bottled beers stocked.

Formerly the Castle Vaults this is a single room pub divided into a number of areas. Quiet during the day but noted for live music and popular with the younger pubgoer in the evenings. Cask beers from local breweries and a good selection of bottled beers.
