In Station Road, one of Warrington's oldest pubs is located on its own island between the River Mersey and the St Helens canal. The Transpennine Trail passes its doors. It has a substantial beer garden overlooking the river and open fires.

We have visited this pub once, seen 6 different beers and tried 4 of them.
