The pub is found in Stratford, Greater London, E15 4QS.
Stratford Broadway once had many pubs, but several were lost in the 1970s destruction and rebuilding of the town centre and a couple more have fallen by the wayside in more recent years. This pub opened in the 2000s as a Yates's chain pub, filling an obvious gap in the market. Never particularly successful however, it was relaunched in 2010 as the Langthorne, with real ale introduced for the first time. The internal décor is not dissimilar to a Wetherspoon pub. Three handpumps on the bar, although cask beer is not always available. Re-named in 2018 as The Abbey Tap.
We have visited this pub twice, seen 2 different beers and tried both.
