Quiet post lunch. Still a relaxed lovely bar. Apparently its due for a refurb.

Great service in this basement bar. Yes, a bit more food orientated, but the beer range is always interested. One of my more favourite places just to sit and have a drink and read the paper or a book.

| Liverpool Organic - Best Bitter | 4.20 | | Not a traditional brown best bitter, but a pale gold one. Lasting white head. Grapefruit citrus hoppy aroma, ok pale malts in mouth, then very bitter on finish, proper stinging bitterness shows good use of bittering hops. Really good. |

Bar located underneath the theatre on Hope Street. Food is very good, filling and value for money. Bar has a couple of Cain's beers normally and one or two guests. Today it was from Derwent brewery
