Late-evening for a couple. This pub is a little piece of sanity in Newport town centre on a Saturday night. Actually, it’s a really nice bar that I like a lot.

Newport town centre is a whole lot quieter tonight, with most of the late night pubs and clubs closed and fewer threatening characters around. This pub in contrast is the busiest we’ve seen it. Perhaps Sunday evening brings out Newport’s more sensible drinkers.

An excellent addition to Newport’s town centre drinking scene, this modern-style bar opened in November 2015 in High Street. The ground floor bar is quite spartan, with some appealing artwork. There is a more comfortable lounge below.
