Mid evening til 2100 close, good to see a few locals making use of their residential brewery tap. We had a good chat with one of the staff, who kindly extended his range to waiter service!

This smart, airy bar is really close to South Woodham Ferrers station, yet I made a total dog’s dinner of finding it. For next time though, I know the way. Superb, fresh beer here (as at Wibblers earlier).

Crouch Vale - Mosaic4.10ExcellentI’m a real sucker it seems for Mosaic hops, and this was great.

I don't think I would have found this very easily if I had not been with someone who knew the way, in fact it is only a short walk from the railway station and well worth finding.

Crouch Vale Brewery tap room, spacious comfortable albeit rather clinical atmosphere. Late afternoon visit, a few round the bar area, we found a table by the entrance.
