Very quiet on a Monday evening. Somebody did come in and ask “Is this the Ship?” The reply was “No, not any more”, so he walked straight back out again. I was not very happy with my pint.

The pub is found in Kennington, Greater London, SE11 6SF.
A substantial, nineteenth century corner pub on a residential stretch of Kennington Road. For most of its long history it has been called the Ship. For a while a new name related to nearby Walcot Square which was built in the 1830s. Effectively this pub still has two separate bars, although it has been opened up to an extent. There is a bar billiards table in the larger room and an area of outside seating at the front. There are six handpumps on the bar. Reverted to original name in 2019.
