Mid day visit. I listened to someone telling people that we won't have to put the clocks back and forward by one hour once we are out of Europe.

People drifting in and out, my friend dashed off for a train, and suddenly I was the only customer.

Afternoon visit, one person talking very loudly at the bar so I sat in a small room at the side but could still hear this person going on and on in the other part of the pub. I decided to move on after one pint.

Mid afternoon our group were the only customers but this soon changed with a few others arriving during our short stay. Friendly welcome from the knowledgeable barman. We took over the comfy middle eastern style furnished room at the rear of the pub, a complete contrast compared to the basic main bar area.

Modern conversion of a former jeweller's shop in Leys Avenue. Furniture crafted from rough wood in main bar at the front with a more well appointed room to the rear.
