Early evening and buzzing with activity with most folk enjoying the sun trap outside seating area so for the present I opted to sit in the cooler spacious interior. Friendly and welcoming with soft jazz music playing in the background with the hubbub of conversation made for a superb atmosphere.

Late afternoon and buzzing with activity, outside area by the entrance standing room only so I sat in the cooler ambience of the air conditioned bar. Friendly welcoming place with a good range of beers on. Badly timed Sunday visit on day 3 of our bike tour as the place closes at 6pm. One beer on cask hand pull was an unexpected find so it had to be first. Easy second place slot for drinking venues so far here, Alibi still reigns at the top IMO.

The pub is found in Gisborne, New Zealand, 4010.
Our brewery is located near the beach in Gisborne. Our state-of-the-art, steam powered brewhouse produces 2500L of beer per batch under the watchful eye of our brewery Manager, Dave Huff. We may be New Zealand’s oldest independent brewery but our equipment and processes are cutting edge. Our beer is tested and tasted every step of the way to make sure it reaches you tasting as good as it can. A hard job but someone’s got to do it, Makes up for missing all those surfing days.
