Not long after 15.00 opening we were the first customers with a few more rolling in during our stay. Friendly and informative barman updated us on the latest proceedings.

Mid afternoon busier than expected with a group of young chaps enjoying a few beers and a band practising in the vacant brewing area next door hence made for a rather noisy atmosphere.

My first visit here and I was impressed, great location by the railway and well laid out outside seating with a spacious and comfy looking yet out of use at the moment bar area.

We found a nice sunny spot sheltered from the cold wind and enjoyed a couple of pints each. Fortunately I now have a new 'phone that incorporates a torch, this proved essential when visiting the facilities as there was a power failure at the time of my visit.
