Mid evening very quiet just a few folk dotted about. A far cry from my last visit in the mid 90's with ChrisE when it was rammed and with a much better beer choice, unlike today which featured far too many UK beers.

15:45 The other essential bar to visit in Amsterdam. Classic interior and a good beer choice. Staff were friendly. Two ancients were sitting next to us enjoying Dutch cheese and Belgian beers.

We were all a little tender when we got here so started a little slowly. I was straight on the 8.5%! I liked this place although the staff seemed to become less friendly once it dawned on them that we were english. Still one of the best beer bars we visited.

Nice old fashioned bar just a minute or so from the Damrak. Huge selection of beer, at least 12 on tap and another 100 or so in bottles.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 4 different beers and tried them all.
