An impressive re-use of an ancient fortified tower made this a destination pub for many. The good weather made use of the outside drinking area in what could have been a very claustrophic enviroment otherwise!

The pub is found in Corbridge, Northumberland, NE45 5AW.

Sited adjacent to Corbridge Parish Church in Market Place this micropub occupies the old Pele Tower built in 1300 for the Vicar of Corbridge. It makes use of the ground and first floor levels and has added a balcony into the roof space. Early 2023 the bar was relocated to opposite the entrance door with two handpumps dispensing local beers often from First and Last Brewery. Bottles from Allendale, including the house Pele ale, and F&L are available. Previously leased out it is now run directly by the owners. Card payments only.

We have visited this pub once, seen 2 different beers and tried 1 of them.
