The sign outside said "Free Soup" but I didn't see any when I entered so I had a beer instead. I sat and watched the pictures of old Tyneside that were being shown as a continuous slide show on the television and wondered what some of those pubs were like.

A really good welcoming boozer. It is unusual to find gravity dispense in this part of the world.
