We walked over hoping it would be windy and Isabel could fly her kite. No wind. Oh well, pub then.

Went for a walk through the nearby woods and came here for a drink. Sat in the garden in the 25 degrees temperature whilst Isabel played on the the climbing frames.

We came to get Isabel out of the house. They've got a new (well new since I was last here) play area at the end of the garden. The pub has a split menu now with half being typical pub fare and half being Indian. We shall be back to eat next time!

Went for a walk in the wood nearby and popped in for a quick half. The pub's under new management according to a sign by the door. We sat outside on the sunny patio.

A very sunny lunch time and it was very busy. There was a long queue at the bar which just seemed to grow. The pub is Cask Mark certified going by the signs over every pump clip.

This was cloudy with large pieces of sediment in it. I threw it away.

We arrived at 11.30am and it wasn't open. The minute it did open there was a large in-flux of people coming to eat. The pub was 'Cask Mark' certified.

Initial taste of peaty water followed by intense hops and malt with a slight nuttyness. Intense hoppy finish but with overtones of chemicals. I haven't had this beer for 10 year and now I remember why
