Moorhouse's - Black Cat Mild3.40ExcellentMy festival favourite, a very nice mild
Acorn - Old Moor Porter4.40ExcellentAs a fan of Old Moor's Almanack, I was thrilled to see he had brought out a porter. This was my first taste of porter and boy was it lovely. Chocolately, strong and dark - just how I like my men.
Jennings (since closure now brewed at Marston's) - Sneck Lifter5.10GoodA malty golden brown beer, pretty nice
Oakleaf (now see Fallen Acorn entries) - Maypole Mild3.80GoodDark black, smooth, something about pears...
Fuller's (part of Asahi Europe) - Discovery Blond3.90AcceptableMy notes say "Discovery - Bland" which perhaps says it all. The barman agreed.

Held in Catford theatre which is a very nice refurbished victorian theatre with lots of red painted ceilings and walls. Smallish beer festival with about 30 beers on, but a very good foreign bottled beer section. Quiet on Saturday as most of the beers had run out and mostly milds and stouts were left on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
De Ryck - Kriek Fantastiek4.90ExcellentThis may not have the fruit kick of Liefmans, but I do like the balance between the sour maltiness and the sweetish cherries. Was sharing a table with a couple of other people and 2 of us split the bottle between us as it costs over £5!
Goacher's - Real Mild Ale3.40AcceptableBit thin and tired, which is a shame cos I normally think that this is one of the best milds in the business
Castle Rock - Black Gold3.50AcceptableDark ruby colour, nice burnt malt nose, slightly acidic in mouth. Good bitter finish. Good mild to start a festival with
Beartown (latterly part of Manning Brewers) - Amberdextrous3.80AcceptableBit wary of Beartown beers. This was dark ruby with roasted malt and extremely chewy in the mouth. Slightly sweet coffee malt finish which extended for a long time. More like a meal than a mild
Bridge of Allan - Glencoe Wild Oat Organic Stout4.50AcceptableBlack colour. Nice smell of grain and coffee. Goodish in mouth with roasted/coffee and chocolate finish. Not bad
Pitfield's - Special Bitter3.70AcceptableCan't say I remember too much about this one. Seemed like a perfectly normal if slightly unadventurous session bitter
