14:00 Ideal pub for lunch and a pint on our way from Chesham to St Albans via Moor Park & Watford. Only one other customer in the smaller room. Made very welcome by the barmaid and her dog. Comfortable street corner pub.

The pub is found in Watford, Hertfordshire, WD17 1PT.

Locals' pub in St Johns Road on the small side only one room. Gents not the best in the world. The pub is unusual in that it retains a small snug, although what is now the lounge was originally two smaller bars with a corridor in between. Re-opened in summer 2024 but with no real ale sold.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 4 different beers and tried 3 of them.
