I had a very enjoyable visit here this afternoon with a group of friends. Regrettably, my beer notes have not survived.

Harviestoun - Bitter & Twisted

Light, refreshing session ale. Could do with a bolder flavour profile.
Greene King - Twisted Wheel

GK's take on a ginger infused beer. Would be better with root ginger rather than powder. Not really to my taste.
Barney's - Volcano IPA

This 'bandwagon' IPA could have been 2* really. No body or depth of flavour.

Amber ale brewed to celebrate the brewery's 7th birthday. Slightly sweet aromas but crisp and slightly spicy in the mouth. Dry spicy finish.
Williams Brothers - September Song

Bold dark lager. Pours almost jet black with good tight head. Initially roasty the flavour mellows to light autumn fruits.

Enjoyed the crack in the bar and came back later to relax on the terrace. By far the best pub on our short break in the Borders and not in the GBG!
Gents: admire the fittings in the toilets.
Wish I had a local like this.

What a find! A little warm and tired but, with the sparkler off, the hops still shone through.
The pub is found in Peebles, Scottish Borders, EH45 8AW.
Beautiful old pub in Portbrae, on the banks of the Tweed near the centre of town. Also known locally as the Trust. Very comfortable main bar area with knowledgeable staff and friendly customers. Huge outside terrace with river and church views. Handy Pizzeria next door. Occasional beer festivals and up to four ales. Dog friendly but under-18s not allowed! CAMRA Borders Pub of the Year 2019.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 13 different beers and tried 7 of them.
