Lunchtime visit. I get these suburban Wetherspoon places all a bit muddled up and honestly cannot say if I have been in here before or not. I liked the artwork at the back, in the dining area.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Sixpoint Importer4.20GoodThere is a clue in the beer’s name, but I was surprised to find that this is a Porter – not what you might expect from a visiting US brewer. Good, but could have had more robustness.

One of the better Wetherspoons I have visited. A good selection of beers for an early Tuesday evening. Had gone to the trouble of putting a newsletter on each table which had some interesting stuff such as meet the brewer - Windsor and Eton - shortly. I have only listed the beers we had.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Naked Ladies4.40ExcellentAs good as ever.
Mauldons - Blackberry Porter4.80ExcellentThe blackberries came through very strong. A well crafted beer but I'm not sure I would have had another.
Weltons - Chocolate Mild3.90ExcellentA dark mild, slighty sweetish with chocolate overtones. Very nice.
Saltaire - Liquorice Stout5.00GoodTasted a bit "thin" but the liquorice came through on the aftertaste.

Very busy early on a Thursday evening.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Kelham Island (probably brewed by Thornbridge now) - 45 RPM4.50GoodPale bitter with crisp hoppiness and toffee malt to balance. Dryish, bitter finish. My score 15/20.
