Hot day and the air con is on full blast. 3 gadds on. Coffee price up from £1 to £2.75. Lynne will have to drink beer!

Pub no. 5. Never been here before, although I'd been past it many times and seen it had Gadds on. Nice pub and not too busy. We sat at the back.

After a day in Eastbourne we were off to the elephant in margate for the start of the spoons festival. However, told the great beers promised weren't ready, so it's here and the rvp for us. 3 gadds on.

Walked back to ramsgit when I got a message Black Pearl was on. All beer prices up to £3.95. Pub redecoration almost complete. It looks amazing and in total contrast to what it was like.

Big crowd in on cold afternoon. 3 gadds on, still at an attractive £3.75 a pint. Thorley have big plans for this pub when the refurb has finished. I'm not sure I will like it!

Busy corner pub right in the centre of town in King Street. Attracts a mostly alternative crowd and there will often be heavy rock music on the jukebox. Several large TV screens for sport enthusiasts. There is a raised area to the rear. 3 handpumps on the lower bar counter. Deservedly awarded a CAMRA Good Beer Guide entry for 2021.
