I noticed the for sale boards up on passing here a few weeks ago to which a work colleague confirms is definitely closed. Yet another on my 'to do' list I've sadly missed visiting.

Late afternoon - busy, but not with real ale drinkers.
I am on a mission to capture all Canterbury pubs on "my map" by the end of the year - this of course will not necessary mean good ale tasting will be guaranteed. This takes me to 12.

Been a long long time since I've been here. In fact I think the last time was with Ian after bumping into the Shepherd Neame brewers and hearing that they liked brewing lager more than bitter.

On Old Dover Road, as the name would suggest near the County Cricket Ground. An imposing red brick corner pub. Formerly a traditional local just over the road from the Kent County Cricket ground, recently converted into a boutique hotel with bar.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 3 different beers and tried 2 of them.
