Lunchtime- I was first in. Must be 30 years or so since my only previous visit - when this was a renowned whisky pub in a quiet creek. The pub and the area have been significantly developed but all very pleasant.

1pm visit: use to use this pub some 20 odd years ago, then it was a haven for real ale and had a HUGE selection of single malts and when I say HUGE I mean over 100!!! The pub then was dark and and mainly lit by candles and was very much an unspoilt old inn, now in the year 2012 that is no longer the case it is very much a food led pub and is light and airy with stripped pine and down lighting, all done very nicely but I loved the way it was :( oh well never mind...

A rather superior (if relatively expensive) Sunday roast lunch taken here, midway on a pleasant riverside walk from Sittingbourne to Faversham.

I came to Conyer to walk around the creek and look for egrets. It was quite windy and Isabel thought it was a better idea to go to the pub instead. Who am I to argue. It's been done up since I was last here and it was very pleasant.

Old Dairy (being contract brewed after it closed) - Red Top3.80ExcellentExcellent condition. Excellent beer. This would probably be my brown bitter of choice for it's earthy realness.
