Just after 2pm opening and I was the only customer at first but was joined by somebody who had lost his 'phone charger and somebody who came in to try and use the payphone that no longer works.

Just a few customers in, early on a Tuesday evening, and my friends and I had the rear garden to ourselves.

1530 visit. Another old haunt not visited for a long time. Nice friendly local type. Sunday roast's noted for another time. Two ales and a Cider on the pumps.

The pub is found in Gillingham, Kent, ME7 1DR.
A genuine back street local type, found in Burnt Oak Terrace, two streets north of the High Street in central Gillingham. Single roomed, small, corner bar, old local Naval pictures on the walls. A decent selection of ales and foreign bottles found. This pub has often been listed in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide. 5 handpumps with one of these used for occasional ciders.
