Lunchtime- bike group meeting. The pub was busy from noon but the landlady single-handedly was doing a fine job cheerfully multitasking drinks and food orders. Balmy in the garden.

Lunchtime cycle meet. 8 of us. Coffee was rated very good by the non-imbibers. Youngs Ordinary also on - can never find that beer easily to record it.

My first visit here, the pub retains its Pubmaster livery which is still in pristine condition, I also liked the Rigden's windows. Whilst I was there three cyclists turned up, had three glasses of tap water and went on their way. I am glad that I am not trying to make a living out of the pub trade.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Southwold Bitter3.70ExcellentAdnams as it should be.

A handfull of people were in and sitting at the bar. This pub has a wonderful setting right by a pond and with views over fields.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harviestoun - Bitter & Twisted3.80GoodGood but nothing like the Bitter and Twisted of the Gilford Arms in Edinburgh all those years ago. Grape and orange peel dominated with a good bitter finish.

Popped in for some food but they weren't doing any. Friendly place and the barman cleared the pipe before pulling my beer
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - IPA (was 3.6%)3.40AcceptableBarely acceptable. If I could give this a 2.5 out of 5 I would. Tasted of marmite
