The pub is found in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN1 1QQ.
Town centre pub, handy for the bus station. Formerly a Ward's Brewery pub, and the last survivor of 19 pubs in this street. There is a small front room, which used to be famous for having the highest bar of any pub in England. It is now easier to get served at this bar and you no longer need to be seven foot tall. To the rear is a long, narrow room with plenty of seating. For good weather, there are some pavement tables at the front. The pub is subtitled ‘Francie’s Irish Bar’ and there is an Irish theme to the decor. Good value meals are served.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 4 of them.
